Your path to deeper healing.
About Kiah
Welcome! My name is Kiah Siegel. I am the owner and therapist at Coastal Path Counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) and approved counseling supervisor in Washington state, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. I received my Masters of Science in Psychology from Eastern Washington University.
Taking the steps needed to prioritize your mental health can be scary and challenging. I help adults who are ready for deeper healing and lasting change. I offer a trauma-informed approach to support you in breaking free from old patterns and moving forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
My practice affirms the experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I’m dedicated to fostering healing, growth, and self-compassion in our work together. I strive to provide a safe, inclusive space where your unique culture, identity, and worldview are honored.
I have a deep understanding of the impact that chronic pain and other illnesses can have in day-to-day life, and the barriers they can create to the belief that healing is possible. I recognize that these experiences often overlap with and can exacerbate other symptoms. I take a holistic (mind and body) approach when working with these co-existing conditions.
I specialize in helping people navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. Using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT+), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), elements of Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other talk therapy approaches, I tailor therapy to your needs so you can live a healthier, more fulfilling life. I believe healing comes from within you, and I look forward to supporting you in that journey.

While I tailor my approach to your unique needs, I frequently use elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), in my talk therapy sessions.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: this goal oriented approach focuses on the powerful connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT is effective at identifying and challenging unhealthy thought patterns that might leave you feeling stuck. We will work together to build a “toolkit” of coping skills that help you regulate your emotions and feel more in control of your behavioral responses.
Motivational Interviewing: this approach is rooted in collaboration and honoring your autonomy, values, and unique world view. MI is often used to support effective decision making, problem solving, and providing a safe, non-judgmental space to explore any ambivalence that might exist in the therapeutic process.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain reprocess and heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
In this approach we target specific memories or experiences that continue to cause distress and impact your day-to-day functioning. Using bi-lateral movement (like eye movements or tapping) we help your brain access this distressing material while keeping you grounded in the present. This process allows you to move through “stuck” emotional pain toward a greater sense of safety, clarity and autonomy.
EMDR can help you change your body’s physical and emotional responses to trauma triggers and improve your confidence in your ability to effectively face life’s challenges. If you often find yourself feeling weighed down by painful past experience, this approach may be right for you.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is an innovative, evidence-based approach that offers a new perspective on healing chronic pain.
Living with chronic pain can be devastating and leave us feeling hopeless. If you experience chronic pain, you may be feeling frustrated with the apparent lack of interventions that provide any lasting alleviation or change.
PRT has been found to be effective at reducing or eliminating chronic pain. We understand that your pain is real and often debilitating. We also understand that many experiences of chronic pain are actually “neuroplastic,” which simply means that the brains alarm system is constantly in overdrive. This leads the brain to interpret safe signals in the body as dangerous, which is then experienced as pain.
PRT uses specialized techniques to help you identify these danger signals surrounding your symptoms, and build safety in your body. By reducing fear and increasing safety, we help you “turn down the dial” on your pain and reclaim your life.
Insurance & Billing
In-Network
I am currently in-network with the following insurance providers:
Premera Blue Cross
LifeWise
It is always important to first check with your insurance policy to determine what is covered. You remain ultimately responsible for paying any deductible, copay, or other out of pocket expenses that your insurance provider may require.
Out-of-Network:
If I am out-of-network with your insurance company, you may request a receipt (or “superbill”) from me that you can use to request direct reimbursement from your insurance company. It is your sole responsibility to determine what reimbursement you may be entitled to. You remain ultimately responsible for paying any out of network claims that your insurance provider may reject.
